About KC Nerdlesque Festival
Executive Producer – Annie-Mae is the owner of Kansas City’s highest rated burlesque and variety show the Rude Revue and Burly Q and the producer of the Missouri Regional Burlypicks. An award winning and internationally known performer, she is Kansas City’s Animated Burlesque Star. Annie-Mae has dedicated her career to creating safe and inclusive spaces for performers to thrive.
Associate Producer / Graphic Designer – Basic Boy is the driving force behind the art and design of the festival. He has strong feelings against the font Papyrus, and designs many of the flyers and marketing for inclusive burlesque shows in Kansas City. When not pouring money he doesn't have into burlesque scene, he runs his own graphic design firm, Odd Fox Inc.
Associate Producer – Anastacia Vulgar, the Boss Bitch of Hot in Topeka Burlesque, has been sharing her particular brand of vulgari-tease with Midwest audiences since 2016. A perfect explosion of nasty and class, this curvaceous dame can save the sinners and corrupt saints. When she isn't straddling the Kansas/Missouri line, you can find her kicking ass and taking phone numbers. Anastacia believes art should disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed - what will you be feeling tonight?
Q: Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
A: You must be 18 or older to attend the burlesque shows, and 21 or older to purchase alcohol.
Q: What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
A: There is limited parking lot parking, lots of handicap accessible parking, and lots of street parking. On busy nights we recommend using Lyft or a similar service, but we've never received serious complaints about parking. Guest of our host hotel, Holiday Inn on the Plaza, with have free use of the hotel shuttle to and from the Just Off Broadway theater.
Q: What can I not bring into the event?
A: We ask that you refrain from bringing any weapons or firearms, outside beverages or food, antiquated ideas about nudity or freedom of expression, any unapproved cameras or video equipment. If you are found with any of these items, you will be asked to leave.
